Big Red Rugby’s Summer Camps are designed to teach the Fundamentals of Youth rugby
Join us this summer for exciting and educational Youth Rugby Summer Camps! Our camps are designed for kids to have fun while learning the basics of rugby and honing essential skills such as team building, ball handling, catching, evasion, and defending.
Camp Details:
Big Red Rugby Omaha
Dates: The camp (5-18) will run from Monday, June 3rd - Friday, June 7th
Location: Westside Community Center: 3534 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68144
NEW Big Red Rugby Tri-City
Dates: The camps will run on Saturday, June 8th for the Skills-based Camp (5-18), and Sunday, June 9th for the Tackle Camp (11-18)
Location: Webb Road Sports Field:1396 S Webb Rd #1252, Grand Island, NE 68803
Activities: Participants will engage in a variety of fun activities and games that focus on developing rugby skills in a supportive and inclusive environment. Our experienced coaches will guide the campers through drills and exercises that emphasize teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship.
Learning Opportunities: Kids will have the opportunity to learn the fundamental aspects of rugby, including passing, kicking, and the rules of the game. They will also develop their understanding of the importance of communication and cooperation within a team setting.
Skill Development: The camp will focus on the fundamentals of ball handling, catching, evasion skills, and defending. Through engaging and age-appropriate drills, kids will have the chance to improve their abilities while having a blast with their fellow campers.
Inclusivity: Our camp welcomes kids of all skill levels, whether they are brand new to rugby or have some prior experience. Our goal is to foster a positive and encouraging environment where every child feels supported in their learning journey.
