Rugby Night in Nebraska
Rugby Night in Nebraska 2026 is an evening dedicated to Building the Game: From the Ground Up. Join supporters, families, and athletes on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 6:00–9:00 PM at The Arbor for a pasta dinner, awards presentation, and silent auction.
This event supports the vision of creating a rugby-focused, multi-sport athletic complex—a permanent home for athlete development and community connection in Nebraska. Enjoy great food, a cash bar, and the opportunity to connect with the rugby community, including USA Eagle Rugby players, while supporting a lasting legacy for the game.

The tournament brings together teams from all over the midwest to compete in a fast-paced and exciting version of rugby, where each team consists of seven players instead of the traditional fifteen. This format provides a faster, more dynamic game that is perfect for spectators looking for an action-packed day of sport.

Tackle Level: Level 1 - Learn to Tackle
Best for: Beginners or athletes new to contact
Goal: Build a safe, confident tackling foundation
This 1-day certification camp teaches athletes how to tackle safely and effectively. Athletes must demonstrate proper technique to advance to Level 2.
Athletes will learn:
Proper foot placement
Head-safe positioning
Shoulder contact mechanics
Hip and back alignment
Tracking opponents safely
Intro to aggressive & passive tackling
Tackle Level: Level 2 - Tackle DNA
Best for: Athletes who have completed Level 1
Goal: Turn proper technique into instinct
This camp reinforces and builds repetition so safe tackling becomes automatic under pressure.
Focus areas:
Side tackle technique (habituation)
Head-on tackle technique (habituation)

The "Oil Can 7s" is a prominent summer rugby sevens tournament held in Kansas City, Missouri, typically kicking off the Midwest summer rugby season. Hosted by Northland Rugby Football Club, the event brings together men's, women's, and high school teams for a fast-paced day of social and competitive rugby.
Youth Summer Skills Camp
Learn, improve, and master the fundamentals of rugby skills techniques. Completing the camp is the surest way to gain confidence for our more experienced players looking to further their skills before the season or for newer players to learn the sport.
The camp runs June 1st, 3rd, 5th
Camp athletes aged 5-8 years will participate from 9 am to 12 pm
Camp athletes aged 9-14 years will participate from 9 am to 3 pm
May be held at the gym in the event of inclement weather
Location: Westside Community Center, 3534 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68144
Lunch will be provided daily
Mouth guards are REQUIRED for athletes 9-14 years.
